It was a quiet Saturday morning. Rain tapped gently on the windows, and the whole house felt extra still. In the bedroom, Mom lay resting under a warm blanket. Her cheeks were a little red, and her eyes remained closed. On the side of the bed, Dad sat gently holding her hand while Yuv stood beside him, his big curious eyes filled with concern.
“Dad,” Yuv whispered softly, “what’s wrong with Mom?”
Dad looked at him with a gentle smile and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Beta, Mom has a little fever. Nothing serious. She just needs rest, some medicine, and lots of love. With that, she’ll be back to her super self in no time.”
Yuv nodded slowly. But something in his heart told him he had to do more than just wait. He quietly walked out of the room, determined.
Scene 2: Yuv’s Room
In his room, Yuv sat at his small study table, surrounded by crayons, markers, and glitter pens. His tongue poked out in focus as he carefully drew on a big sheet of paper. At the top, in bold red letters, he wrote:
“Get Well Soon, Super Mom!”
He added colorful hearts, stars, a smiling sun, and even a tiny drawing of their family holding hands under a rainbow. Then, thinking hard, he whispered, “Something’s missing…”
He ran to the garden, still in his slippers, and picked the brightest flower he could find—a yellow one, just like sunshine. Carefully holding it, he tiptoed back inside.
Yuv then took a small tray and placed his masterpiece drawing, the flower in a cup, and a glass of water on it. He looked at everything once again, proud of his arrangement.
Scene 3: Back in Mom’s Room
Gently pushing the door open, Yuv peeked inside. His mom was still lying down, but her eyes were open now. She looked tired, but when she saw Yuv entering with the tray, her face lit up instantly.
“Mom!” Yuv said excitedly, trying to keep his voice low. “Look what I made for you!”
He placed the tray on the side table beside her.
“This is a special drawing just for you—to make you feel better faster. And this flower?” he smiled, holding it up, “It’s straight from our garden, because you’re as pretty as a flower! And the water… well, that’s for your medicine!”
Mom looked at the drawing and gasped softly. Her eyes sparkled with joy. “Oh, Yuv… this is the most beautiful gift I’ve ever received.”
She reached out her arms, and Yuv climbed onto the bed beside her. She hugged him tight and planted a kiss on his forehead.
“Thank you, my little hero,” she whispered. “With you by my side, I’m already feeling stronger.”
Yuv beamed. “That’s because superheroes take care of each other. You’re my Super Mom… and I’m your sidekick!”
Dad chuckled from the corner, watching them both. “Well, with this superhero duo in the house, I think Mom’s going to be just fine.”
Yuv looked serious for a moment. “I’ll bring you soup later, and I’ll make sure you rest. No chores for you, okay?”
Mom laughed. “Deal. Doctor Yuv is in charge!”
As the rain continued to fall gently outside, the room inside was full of warmth, love, and superhero magic. Yuv may have been small, but his heart was mighty—and today, his kindness had truly made all the difference.
Moral of the Story:
Even the smallest acts of kindness can bring the biggest smiles. Love, care, and thoughtful gestures have the power to heal. Always show your heart—it’s your greatest superpower.
