Leo and the Little Wrappers

Leo and the Little Wrappers

Leo loved snack time. Whether it was crunchy chips or sweet treats, he always had something delicious in his hands. One bright afternoon, he was sitting on the couch in the living room, happily munching on his favorite cheese crackers. The TV was on, the fan was humming softly, and everything felt perfect.

Across the room, Leo’s dad was reading a book. He looked up and smiled at Leo. “When you’re done with your snacks,” he said kindly, “don’t forget to throw the wrappers in the trash.”

Leo glanced at the empty wrappers piling up on the table beside him and gave a lazy shrug. “I’ll do it later, Dad. It’s just a couple of wrappers,” he mumbled, not thinking much of it.

Eventually, Leo finished his snacks and stretched his arms with a big yawn. He stood up and walked away from the table, ready to go play with his toys. But as he took a few steps and turned back for a quick look, something made him pause.

The living room didn’t look as cozy as it had before. The once neat table was now cluttered with wrappers, crumbs had found their way onto the sofa, and the cheerful space suddenly looked… messy.

Leo frowned. “Hmm, I guess it does look a little untidy,” he said to himself.

Noticing his son’s expression, Dad got up and walked over, gently handing Leo a small trash bag. “Let’s clean it up together,” he offered.

Leo nodded and took the bag. Together, they picked up the wrappers, wiped the table, and brushed away the crumbs. It didn’t take long, and soon the living room looked tidy and fresh again.

Dad gave Leo a pat on the back. “See? A small habit like cleaning up after ourselves keeps everything neat and pleasant for everyone.”

Leo looked around the clean room and smiled. It did feel better. The colors seemed brighter, the couch looked more inviting, and even the air seemed lighter.

“You’re right, Dad,” Leo said sincerely. “I’ll make sure to put things in the trash from now on. It makes such a big difference!”

From that day forward, Leo became more mindful of cleaning up after himself. Whether it was snack wrappers, toys, or even books left lying around, he made sure everything went back to its place. His parents were proud, and Leo felt good knowing he was helping to keep his home happy and clean.

And the best part? Now, snack time felt even more enjoyable in a neat, cozy space.
