Knowing the names of the oceans is a first step toward children’s understanding of our planet and the significance of nature protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oceans are large bodies of salt water which cover the majority of Earth’s surface. All the world oceans are joined together and are the world ocean, although they have different names depending on their geographical location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seas are smaller than oceans and the ocean is deep, very little land. They play an important role such as providing oxygen, regulation of climate and helping to move millions of people in the world and also supporting marine life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 5 oceans in the world and every ocean has its own features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 1. Pacific Ocean<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pacific Ocean is the biggest and deepest among all the oceans. It is situated in between Asia and Australia, and North and South America. It consists of thousands of islands with some amazing marine life that lives in its waters, including whales, dolphins, sea turtles and vibrant coral reefs. This is located in the world’s deepest location, the Mariana Trench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 2. Atlantic Ocean<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Atlantic Ocean is the second biggest ocean. It separates Europe from North and South America and Africa. It has been an important shipping route for people and goods going from continent to continent for centuries. It also supports a wide variety of many marine species and plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 3. Indian Ocean<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Indian Ocean is the third largest ocean and is surrounded by Africa, Asia, Australia and Antarctica. It is the warmest of the five oceans, and a significant influence on the formation of monsoon-type weather patterns which cause rainfall for many nations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 4. Southern Ocean<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Southern Ocean, a cold water ocean, surrounds Antarctica. It is the home of penguins, seals and whales, as well as many other cold water species. This region has ocean currents that circulate water around the world and helps in the regulation of Earth’s climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 5. Arctic Ocean<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Arctic Ocean is the smallest ocean and shallowest  ocean. Much of the region is covered by sea ice throughout much of the year, around the North Pole.. This is a special place for the survival of polar bears, walruses, seals and Arctic fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
